Our commitment
Carpet & Vacuum Expo wants every customer to be able to use this website, including customers with disabilities. We’ve built this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standard, and we continue to test and improve accessibility as the site evolves.
What we’ve done
- Color and contrast. Body text meets WCAG AA contrast ratios (at least 4.5 to 1 for regular text, 3 to 1 for large text and UI components).
- Keyboard navigation. Every interactive element (links, buttons, form fields, accordion, before/after slider) is reachable and operable with a keyboard alone. Focus states are visible.
- Screen readers. We’ve structured the site with semantic HTML (proper headings, lists, landmarks) and added ARIA labels where semantic HTML isn’t sufficient. Images have descriptive alt text.
- Motion. We respect
prefers-reduced-motion. Animations and parallax effects are disabled when users opt out. - Forms. Labels are associated with fields. Errors are announced. Success states move focus to a confirmation.
- Zoom and reflow. The site supports browser zoom up to 200% without content loss or horizontal scrolling.
Known issues
- Third-party embeds. Room visualizer and Google Maps embeds on showroom pages are third-party widgets whose accessibility we don’t control directly. Where possible, we’ve added skip-links so keyboard users can bypass them.
- Image gallery lightboxes. Gallery images are keyboard-operable and screen-reader-friendly; the lightbox overlay uses focus-trapping and ESC to close.

Ongoing improvement
We audit accessibility regularly and update this statement when we ship significant changes. Automated and manual testing both inform our audits. If you’re using assistive technology that has trouble with part of our site, telling us which tool and which page helps us fix it quickly.
Formal standards
This site targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We’ve also incorporated best practices from the Section 508 standards where applicable. This statement is intended to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable state accessibility laws for business websites.
