Bind a remnant. Fit a stair runner. Most of the carpet we sell can be bound into an area rug or runner, straight or curved stairs, wool or synthetic, any binding color.
“Bring us a remnant. We bind it, you pick the tape, and it comes home a finished rug.”
We cut carpet to any size, finish the edges with your choice of binding, and hand-deliver it. Area rugs for living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms. Hall runners for long corridors. Stair runners, waterfall or classic mid-stair style, fitted to your exact stair geometry.
Remnant binding is the other thing people come in for. If you’ve got a leftover piece from an install (yours or someone else’s), we’ll bind it into a rug in any size.
How a runner is cut and installed shapes the look. Pick the right one for the stair or room you have.
Here is what happens between your showroom visit and the install.

Fantastic experience with Steve and Bruce at the Cabin John location. They helped us replace an old stair runner. Their advice was spot-on, thoughtful, and never pushy. The entire process felt seamless and the end result exceeded our expectations.

Staff at the store was very helpful and low pressure. Scheduled us quicker than I was expecting for such a small job. Installation crew showed up on time, worked fast, and did an excellent job cleaning up. Highly satisfied.

Moved into a new house and one of our dogs was slipping on the stairs. Steve was fabulous. Managed to get the carpet ordered from Georgia and installed in five days. His crew did an excellent job, and his pricing was very good.

I just had them make a custom area rug to go with the hardwood flooring that they installed last year. It's beautiful and they did an outstanding job fabricating the carpet.

Installed Persian runner on stairs exactly as I wanted: tightly molded to each tread and stair lip. Installers were experienced professionals, quick and neat. Pleased to recommend.

It was such a relief to find Steve. We wanted to get a carpet that was bound a certain way. He arranged for the carpet to be bound on site and it came out exactly how we wanted it.

Yes. Bring in a remnant or an existing unfinished rug and we’ll bind the edges in the color and style you pick.
Yes. Curved stairs need a waterfall or hand-fitted install. Our installers have done hundreds of them. Bring photos or measurements in and we’ll scope it.
Wool for the look and the feel underfoot, synthetic for durability and stain resistance. Solution-dyed nylon with a wool-like finish is the practical compromise most people land on.
Installation time varies by job depending on the square footage, the type of flooring being installed, and whether existing flooring needs to be removed first. After we see the space and understand the full scope of work, we can provide a more accurate timeline.
The carpet face carries the manufacturer warranty from the mill. The binding and the install are warrantied by us: if a bound edge pulls or the runner shifts on the stair, we come back and fix it in the first year.

The binding styles, stair geometry, and remnant work behind a custom runner, plus the carpet it starts from.
See a fitted runner, compare the details, and tell us about your stairs.

Most of our carpet can be cut and bound into a rug or stair runner. Start with the fiber and weave.
